Information we collect
- Account information: your username, email address, and password when you register with email and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the Google account information needed to authenticate you, including your email address and, when provided, a profile image URL. We also keep a Google account identifier to link sign-ins to your game account.
- Game and service information: account settings, profile image, match and score results, trophies, public chat messages, and information needed to operate multiplayer, matchmaking, and Creator Studio features.
- Gameplay voice recordings: Mimic Me does not have live voice chat or voice calls. With microphone permission, the game records a short voice take during a recording round. The recording is sent to the game server for scoring and shared with players in that match for the round reveal. The microphone is not used to stream live audio between players.
- Creator Studio content: if you use Creator Studio, we process the sound packs, audio clips, names, and images you upload, along with related usage information.
- Purchase information: when you make an in-app purchase, the relevant store and our backend process information needed to verify the purchase and apply it to your signed-in account. We store a hash of the purchase token and the store transaction reference; we do not store the raw purchase token.
- Technical information: information sent with service requests, such as IP address, request time, and basic device or connection details, may be processed for security, troubleshooting, and service operation.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, sign you in, run multiplayer games, score and replay gameplay voice recordings, show profiles and game results, provide Creator Studio, verify purchases, prevent abuse, and maintain and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.
Passwords and account security
Passwords are not stored in readable form. Our backend stores a unique-salt, one-way PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 password hash. Email addresses are stored in the account database so they can be used for sign-in and account management. We restrict access to account information and use HTTPS for data sent to the production service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
What other players can see
Your email address and password are not shown to other players. Your username is shown in multiplayer rooms and game results. If you use a profile image, that image may also be shown to other players. Messages you post in public chat and content you publish in Creator Studio can be visible to other users. A voice recording submitted during a round is shared with players in that match for scoring and reveal playback; live microphone audio is not streamed between players.
Ads and third-party services
The game may show interstitial and rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google may process device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, and related technical information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising services, subject to Google's policies and applicable choices or consent settings. We do not intentionally include your account password or email in ad requests.
We also use Google Sign-In for authentication and Google Play Billing to process and verify supported Android in-app purchases. These services are provided under Google's own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
In-app purchases
Our currently supported in-app purchase is the one-time Remove Ads item through Google Play on Android. Google Play handles payment details. We receive the information needed to verify the transaction and associate the entitlement with your signed-in game account. Store prices and available purchase or refund options are shown and managed by the relevant store.
Account deletion requests
When you submit an account deletion request, we check that the username and email address match the same account. If they match, we store the account username, email address, reason, request status, and timestamps in our database. Authorized admins can view these details in the admin dashboard and update the request status. Submitting the form does not automatically delete the account. Use the account deletion request form to submit a request.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and service information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet operational or legal needs, and resolve disputes. Public chat history is normally retained for up to 14 days, and matchmaking history for up to 30 days. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, subject to applicable requirements and records we may need to retain.
